This series constructs a visual dialectic between two generations and two distinct temporalities on Tehran’s Enghelab (Revolution) Street. Status One juxtaposes my father’s handheld, color snapshots from the months leading up to the 1979 Revolution with my own engineered, black-and-white long exposures of the state-organized anniversary rallies in 2023 and 2024. It is an intersection where the revolutionary moment of one generation meets the chronic stasis of another.
