Black and white photo of a snow-covered rural street with houses, trees, streetlights, and mountains in the background.
A vintage floral-patterned sofa with spilled upholstery and a plush horse toy lying on top, illuminated by a single beam of light in a dark room.
A person with curly hair covered in snow, standing outdoors during a snowstorm, with buildings and streetlights in the background.
A young boy in mid-air diving or falling near a soccer goal on a grassy field, with a background of trees and a wooden fence.
Floor plan of a healthcare and eldercare facility, showing various wards, rooms, and departments with labels in Norwegian.
A silhouette of a person behind a semi-transparent curtain in a dimly lit room, with a bed, cluttered table, and window with curtains in the background.
A black and white photo of a single-story building with multiple windows, some of which have curtains, and a reflection of a woman's face in one window. There are tall trees and cloudy sky in the background.

This work is the result of a protracted, months-long presence within the institutional grid of a Norwegian asylum reception center. Occupying this space of suspension, I documented the slow accumulation of days and the textures of a life held in stasis. The images function as a clinical yet intimate archive of the 'permanent temporary'-capturing the quiet erosion of agency within an architecture designed for transition, but experienced as an endless wait.
